Paragon is excited to announce the launch of a new stand-alone Bluetooth access control system which revolutionises how you control access to your doors, gates, rooms and lifts.
The compact (58x76x41 mm) externally rated reader holds all the necessary data, so a separate door controller is not required.
Your smartphone becomes your access ID – replacing the need for fobs or cards – reducing costs and the chance of these items being forgotten, lost or stolen.
When your phone is close to the reader, the application communicates with the reader via encrypted messaging and exchanges the security key to authenticate and opens the lock to allow entry.
The range of the readers can be adjusted to suit your needs. In long-range mode, doors can be unlocked with your smartphone still in your pocket or vehicle. Card-mode mimics the experience of a proximity card by tapping your smartphone on the reader.
The software app makes it easy to enrol users and grant access to employees, visitors and contractors from your phone or PC. You can configure access rules, track entry logs and grant or revoke permissions.
The new system can be integrated with your existing access control system if required.
