Marine PTZ Camera – Stainless Steel – DNV Type Approval

The PSOS-3Z30-XI68 External Compact Marine PTZ Camera offers an ultra-rugged, DNV GL Type Approved, 3MP IP colour Pan, Tilt & Zoom CCTV camera with integrated pedestal assembly, PoE++ power option or local junction box and interface cable assembly.

The Marine PTZ Camera – Stainless Steel – DNV Type Approval unit is ideally suited to external monitoring and situational awareness above decks for a wide variety of marine and naval applications.

The camera is designed using the latest technology in intelligent imaging and video streaming and uses an advanced 1/2.8” STARVIS CMOS sensor with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and exceptional low light performance. It produces three video streams up to 3MP (2048 x 1536 pixels) resolution at 25fps, in a choice of H.265, H.264 and MJPEG compression formats. ONVIF compliance ensures seamless integration with other compliant networks and Video Management Software (VMS).

The camera offers 30x optical zoom, with 16x digital zoom and ultra-low light sensitivity of 0.01 Lux in colour day mode, as well as auto ICR switching to night mode for extended ultra-low light (0.0001 Lux) sensitivity with monochrome imaging. IR detection distances exceed 300m at night. Smart, auto-adapting, white light and near IR illuminator options are also available. It features a flat, optically-correct, toughened polycarbonate window for image clarity and includes an integrated wiper with long-life silicone blade.

The camera and integrated pedestal are housed in electropolished 316L stainless steel to provide a high degree of protection from the ship environment in which it needs to operate. Power options are PoE++ (60W/90W) or ship’s power via local junction box.

The highly ruggedized marine PTZ camera has been fully qualified to the extensive DNV GL Marine Type Approval criteria. All moving parts are designed to last; from its long-life, silicon wiper through to the motor technology used in its pan and tilt mechanism. All the pan, tilt and wiper mechanisms and shafts are built from marine-grade stainless steel, increasing corrosion resistance, toughness and durability. They are suitable for ships, oil rigs, seaports and terminals, and coastal locations. MTBF is 7 years.
